My over-clocking experience.

I have a Matsonic Ms6260s Mother Board. I over clocked my K6-2 350 up to 450 mhz and it runs fine with a KWI heatsink and fan. oh and 32 mb of 8ns Pc-100 S-dram and a 1 mb Trident vidio card I am using the onboard sound. Need For Speed High Stakes works fast with full detail and it was fast!!! thanks for reading and to you people that think the Matsonic Ms6260 MB sucks well i either got a good one or your wrong.

Now if you want to see about an 800% improvement just upgrade the SDRAM to 64MB (or128) and upgrade the video card to a TNT/TNT2 16MB or higher - you will probably need helmet!

my baby a k6-2-350 runs fine at 450 now with
2,6 volt but heavy cooled with a big h sink and 2 23 cfm fans and some nice thermal paste running now at 24 c and at 100% at 29 c the temp in the room is 20 c and i have my case open combined with a nice "old" voodoo II it runs real nice

Easy Jojo, easy;

Take it all in with a grain of salt and meg of ram.../ these are just a variety of suggestions. The single biggest improvement I ever saw was replacing the 1MB Cirrus Logic card in my Pentium 133 with a 4MB ATI 3D Expression.

Well, ...besides the K6-2 400 OC to 500 and the 16MB TNT...

BTW, I just replaced the dinky fan on my TNT with a larger/faster CPU fan, and while I was at it I modified the heatsink - I finally found something that overheated the TNT - was it NFS2? No. Was it Moto-Racer? No. Was it QuakeII? No. Well what was it then???? My daughter's "Babie Riding Club!!": believe it or not!

Another point, JoJo. You don't want to irritate the regulars here. Others have, and then were unable to get future questions answered, at least for awhile. A guy got real mouthy about two months ago, still won't answer his posts & don't care if he ever gets it fixed! Don't see many regulars ever answer him, either. No, I'm not saying who.

BTW, that vid card may be a bottlenack now, but don't let bug you too much. We've all had finances hold us up one way or another. Important thing is it works for now.

Hey I think that trident and all them cheep chip makers should be arested. No matter what your doing common.. 1 meg dont cut it.. for 125 get a tnt2 64 bit.. thats cnd dollers that would be about 5 dollers us. heh. I get on my celery 464 with 64 pc100 i get 38 fps at 1158 res in quake.. and with my new sys.. v3000 (tnt2 was too expensive) and 192 ram 9.1 ka hd bp6 2 366's 1 running at 550 its a difrent story!
