I'm getting 2 new c366's today and a abit BP6. I'm gonna overclock each of them separately before I get them running together so that I know the limitations of each. I don't have ay clue how to "burn" in the chip. Could someone please help me by giving me a website with explicit instructions so that I don't screw it up!
Thx,
Z

I use the RC5 client to burn in my processor and maybe even have a chance to win $1000.00
Read all about it here:

SETI is a good burn in too, and you might find ET. http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/

Here is what you do:
1st: drop a CPU in.
2nd: set it for the default speed, but 2.2v
3rd: run for 24hours each with taxing software, if you do not have a good video accelerator, you might consider the Unreal loop, or the new Quake 3 loop.
4th: find out how fast each one will go.
5th: test each for stability at that speed.
6th: slap them both in there together at a few mhz less than the slower of the 2, when you run duel CPUs, they do not overclock as well.
7th: load Red Hat 6.0 and have fun with 2 high speed CPUs.

Killerbug - what makes you say that a 2 CPU system will not OC as well?
And what's up with all these folks who have never OC'd before starting out with a dual CPU system? Gotta admire their guts, but it's like taking drivers ed in a Lambourghini.

actually, I'm gonna run the bp6 with just one for a bit, to find the max, then I'm gonna run it with the other... I've built a few other systems, and I've overclocked 1, but I didn't bother to burn it in, cause it just worked fine from the start...
anyway, I figured, why not? the bp6 is supposedly great for oc'ing, and it's not that much more than the bx6r2... once again though, thanks for all of the responses

I u really want to wait eith running dual, wait buying the 2nd CPU. The always drop in pricez, even if you wait a week.
Huh not oc well with 2x cpu? your nuts? my experience is I just got my bp6 and 2x 366's well guess what I post and boot up in 550 no prob! but when gets to win on both they lock up even at 2.3 voltes. but! when I use both in at the same time I can boot to win have no prob just locks with seti@home used 2.05 voltes and guess what 100%!

UFO!!!!>....
so what you're saying is that when you tried 550 with with each c366 separately, it wouldn't go even at 2.3V, BUT.. when you put both of them in and ran them both at 550, it worked fine at 2.05??
I'm just trying to understand what exactly you were saying, cause it was a bit confusing. Please correct me if this interpretation os incorrect. Also, can you get NT to run??

Are all Linux games MPA or is it just the OS?
