Overclocking Celeron 500

Please respond with your overclocking successes and failures with the Celeron 500's. I'm thinking of buying one and need to convince my wife that we really need this processor. Thanks, Fritz

Fritz, the chip is a very good one. I have mine running at 563MHz on a 75MHz FSB. I have not gone to 600 yet on the 83MHz FSB, primarily because I have had bad experiences at 83. Check my post a few days ago it has the Wintune98 benchmarks, all but the OpenGL and D3D marks, this was not taken because I had a problem with the DirectDraw portion of DirectX, which has since been taken care of. Prob need to post your computers specs, and info so we can possibly evaluate your probable success at a given FSB. If you need any other info please let us know
