Andre 08-04-1999, 07:33 AM Maybe you just need a BIOS update. Joel Kleppinger 08-04-1999, 08:39 AM This is because speeds within a certain range are automatically bumped to the closest value. For instance, on my C366 @ 523 system, it loads as 522 MHz. But if I boot at 517 or 528, the BIOS still says 522 MHz, even if I have a C300A at 517 in the socket. They have certain values programmed into the BIOS and everything else is just on a closest fit basis. And most manufacturers use the same values. When my Celeron 300A is at 517, it still says 522 on bootup in the Shuttle HOT-641, the BE6, or the BP6. It appears this is pretty standard stuff. SysOpt.com
