Must be 450(6*75) or 500 (6*83) MHz. Don't forget about cooling! And maybe you need increase core voltage (to 2.2V, for example). wperito 07-13-1999, 11:43 PM This is for the ones who have a celeron slot one 66mhz bus cpu... If you look on the back of the cpu, you will see that the pin/connectors are labeled b1 through b121. Connector b21 is an inhibitor that will not let the chip run at a bus speed higher than 66mhz. If you cover up b21 and reinsert the chip so that it cannot read b21 you can set the bus to 100mhz even upto 133mhz. I have had my celeron 400mhz upto 800mhz STABLE!!! Note though... if you are not using the new pc100 or pc133 ram you will not be able to use the 100 or 133mhz bus. The pc66 ram cannot handle this. William Swipper 07-14-1999, 09:21 AM wperito: "I have had my celeron 400mhz upto 800mhz STABLE!!!" Did you mis-type the 8 when it should have been 5. Unless you CPU is liguid cooled with nitrogen, I don't believe "800Mhz".... Andre 07-14-1999, 04:47 PM wperito! I would really like to see some proves. Both your 133@300 and 400@800. Benchmarks or something, cuz´ otherwise i know i´m not the only one that has a hard time believing these amazing speeds. [This message has been edited by Andre (edited 07-14-99).] wperito 07-14-1999, 06:54 PM No problem I will e-mail it to you wperito 07-15-1999, 12:29 AM I am messing around with other cooling methods. No it is not a typo. With the right board, the right cooling method, and b21 taped over it isn't impossible... but yes the heat is an issue... Andre 07-15-1999, 03:08 PM Well bring ´em on! Dash800 07-15-1999, 04:41 PM Email it to me too Joel Kleppinger 07-15-1999, 04:50 PM Why don't you post it on the board in a new thread? And tell us what you've tried and how you've fared. I'm sure we all would be interested in this if you would indulge us. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Andre 07-16-1999, 06:56 AM He has emailed me and i am sure he is talking pure truth! This guys works for ARC (American Research Corporation) Enough said? I think so http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif Andre 07-16-1999, 04:04 PM So you really work for the FBI! Wow I must say! Can you get me one of those cool t-shirts with the "FBI" on the bag? No just kidding, but seriously i don´t think people are having fun just going around some messagebaord and telling lies! I believe it when people tell my that they are telling the truth. Otherwise i wouldn´t know for sure if i was the only one having a 300a running at 464, would i? I read Kyle´s page every day and many others too. Thy also claim very amazing things most of the time, but hey i belive them. If he is not telling the truth i will look like a total jurk, but i want to belive him. I hope his is telling the truth cuz´ we will all have some better cooling methods then! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif André Tobias 07-17-1999, 12:22 AM I got a question that is not of this thread but here goes... How do you look at a persons bio or whatever on this board. Because I do work for ARC and I do not know a William in tech support. Perhaps I am jumping the gun. But we only have three Different sites. That is the corporate head quarters which is in Monterey Park California(Which is where I work)And Two others. One in colorado and one in South Carolina. Could someone tell me how to find out this info. Thanks. wee96 07-17-1999, 12:36 AM So just because he claims he works for some company you believe him? Hey man, I work for the FBI, do you believe me? Didn't think so. If any of you read Kyle Bennett's website, you'll have delight in seeing what he said about this guys false claims: "The B21 pin will in fact keep certain mainboards from detecting the Celeron for 66MHz only. This has now been gone around for some time by the mainboard MFG's. The rest of his statement is absolute ****, almost assuredly. Kyle "FrgMstr" Bennett WebPhallus among Other Things. http://www.hardocp.com" Maybe you should think twice now eh? Andre 07-17-1999, 03:34 AM Just click on the little "man and ?" thats is above every reply. Sure would be nice to find out if he is working for ARC! Hope you can enlight us! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif Sterling_Aug 07-17-1999, 08:57 AM If wperito works for ARC, how come his profile says he is an insurance agent? Something smells like rotten fish here... Dash800 07-17-1999, 09:53 AM Guys he has to go undercover from non-believers like us!, and i dont think ill believe 400 -> 800 unless he has Kryotech or something, and still its pushing it. shoulda spell checked, oh well thats what i get for replying soon as i wake up. [This message has been edited by Dash800 (edited 07-17-99).] Andre 07-18-1999, 12:20 AM "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!"
