Does anyone know of a good software dvd program for w2k or w98? I bought a 6x memorex drive and the matrix a month ago and couldn't get it to work with the zoran program that came with my viper 770 ultra. I heard that a lot of progs had probs with matrix so I didn't worry about it. Today I got my hands on some other dvd movies and can't get them to work either.

Even though I havent tried any of them (cause I have an ati card to do it for me) but I hear windvd and powerdvd usually have the best success....head over to http://www.dvdutils.com/ , they should mention which is the best for a viper ultra.

I've heard XingDVD has the best performance out there. However it doesn't have the best quality of a/v representation, or features other programs support, such as A3D. I'd rather have smooth playback over a little quality, but if you have a speedy cpu then no worries. WinDVD is the program I see most praise about.
