Which is really the better chip all recommendations appreciated . . . I like 3d games too but I have a Voodoo2

Well, the Celeron will be much faster for playing games on (like 40 percent), but the K6-3 will be a good bit faster in windows(25-30 percent). The K6-3 is quite a bit more expensive, and the super 7 motherboards can cause a lot of problems with certain video cards, I say stick with the Celeron and enjoy faster games.

I don't know if I would agree that the Celeron is better than the K6-3; while it is true that the FPU of the Intel chip is somewhat better at the same clock speed, this does not take into account the potential improvement from 3D-Now instructions and the all-around improvement from the 256K on board cache.

I do agree that the K6-3 is too expensive considering the fact that it is just a K6-2 with 256K integrated L2 cache...it would be like paying $100 more for a Celeron 300a verses a cacheless Celeron 300. I can't see paying that much for what I consider a "bug fix."
