He he...don't wanna burn another CPU, so gotta ask this question.

Who has ever tried cpu voltage settings beyond 2.3volts with success in overclocking?

Would upping the voltage to say...2.4 or 2.5 volts be too much of a risk?

Seeing that I was given a stack (exaggerating) of celeron 266's from my uncle who couldn't stand seeing them worthless piece of junks lying around in his
store. I've got one've those asus mobo's with 150fsb and was starting to wonder...

Well, what's the decision...should I or shouldn't I?

I've got a hunch with all the right equipment, I can still kick a bit more megahertz outta those celeries.

2.4volts ok?
2.5volts ok?

2.3V should be your "safe" limit

2.4V might be ok, but make sure you have really good cooling!

2.5 - your CPU will be dead within days http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Good to see you care about the life of your CPU this time!

Spdsk8r: I slightly disagree with you. I doubt that a Celery would be dead in a few days at 2.5 volts.

I accidently ran a PII-350 at 2.9 volts for a few months due to some BIOS flash and voltage setting mistakes. That was before I had adequate cooling and before I knew better! It would probably last for several months now with all the extra cooling I have in my case and on my ALPHA heatsink.
