Depends on how much you like Linux. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Anything to watch out for especially? More Speed! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif My scenario. Single HD, two partitions. 2 gig windows, and 1 gig bootable Linux (Red Hat with KDE). I can run my PPGA333 at 416 with Windows no trouble. Anything faster, and no boot. Set FSB to 100 (multiplier locked at 5) and boot to Linux at 500. No problem. Linux is much more stable than windows at O/Cing speeds and temps. Cheers, Jim Dominus 05-21-1999, 08:45 PM Linux shouldn't even murmur when overclocking, as long as you avoid exotic PCI bus speeds (like 41mhz) Theres a good change that Linux will boot on machines where Win9X won't as well. cobain1crt 05-23-1999, 01:20 AM all their comments and this: a Linux box will work like an overclocked Windoze box when it is not overclocked, it is efficient and powerfull and fast and free and....... Dominus 05-23-1999, 10:56 AM But *FAR* more stable and reliable. I've heard of linux thin clients that have run for YEARS without a reboot. The most I've gone without a fatal crash in windows is 5 days. SysOpt.com
