I recently bought a 'new' Celeron 366 and want to overclock it. To my very limited and dangerous knowledge of overclocking ,I , through visiting various sites, presume it cannot run at more than 66mhz bus. If not can someone assist on what the possible capabilities of these cpus are, and what settings I can try.

I heard of people getting it up to 620Mhz!

Set the mobo to run at 66, then use the BIOS to up it. Try 75, 83, or even 100 there. It will probably run at 5x83 (415) with no trouble, and maybe even higher.
Cheers, Jim

The c366 is locked at 5.5 and not 5 which would result in only 333. Therefore u could go to 456.5 instead of 415MHz.

I have an OEM C366 and I've been running it 24/7 for 2 weeks now with the D.net client @ 458Mhz./1.95V

It's great for overclocking!

Got mine to run 458 right out of the box, BUT I had to disable UDMA and set the voltage to 2.2 (after a couple of weeks I could ease it down to 2.0v). Started playing around w/ peltiers and water cooling and got 550@2.0v with cpu temps below 18c. Cooled the water some and was able to post 616. So now I'm looking to insulate everything and run colder water, maybe it will do 616 stable. If you're shy about the water then an Alpha heatsink and peltier might get you cool enough to do 550.

Good luck
