I am plannig to buy a P3 450. I dont know if I should get the OEM or retail version. I've heard that the retail's heat sink and fan are hard to get off but has a better warrenty. Any advice on which to get?

In general, the retail units have a better reputation for overclocking.

The mystery is, why does a P2-450 cost more than a P3-450?

Get any 450 P3 and you can easly go to 504 with a BH6

With the bx6-2, I can get 560, maybe 580

what do you mean throw it away?

He means that overclocking voids the warranty anyway, so it doesn't really matter how long it lasts for.

Any P3 will do!

The retail cost more for nothing.
