Hi,
How is it possible that I get registry errors when attempting to overclock my celeron 333 to 500? Isn't everything (pci, agp, ide) supposed to be back to regular MHZs? This screen comes up as if I'd pushed F8 to get into safe mode, except it tells me that there are errors. Has anyone else experienced registry errors from overclocking?

I've only had my system give me a registry error once in my entire PC life. I don't think this is a common thing with overclocking, but with OC'ing anything is possible.
I recommend downloading RegClean 4.1 (http://www.alpinenet.com/RegClean41.zip)
This nifty utility cured my one time accurance of a registry error. I also recommend you install a registry backup program that will save your registry files in case something goes wrong, and you can just replace them with the backups.

I agree with using regclean, I use it on a regular basis and haven't had a registry error since then. Great utility it should come with windows.
Well, I for one have had terrible results with REGClean. I dont use it and I have no need for this type of potentially exspensive program.

well, registry errors are common when overclocking when you have either a heat problem or insufficient voltage.First make sure that this is not a heat related problem,if everything is good there then try bumping your voltage to 2.1.I don't reccomend going above that though. Also just FYI,500 is a pretty high goal to set without any extra cooling or higher voltage settings.450 is a much more attainable goal.
