There was a site that had that topic...
something about covering the B21 pin
so that it reads as 100mhz 400instead
of 400c....do u guys know the link..
or how to it. I have 400c and Hot661v31MB.
I just wanted to run it a 100 mhz.

Sorry, there is no known way to do this at this time.

The multiplier on all current Intel CPUs is locked. Therefore, if you run your 400x66 chip at 100MHz, you would be attempting to run the CPU at 600MHz.

Fat chance. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Phloodpants is right. First running at 600 mhz (6x100) is pretty slim, then without any extra volts that slim becomes zero. The reason I say that is because you have a shuttle 661 and I don't think you can increase the volts to your cpu. I forgot, you can also tape more pins to get 2.2 or 2.4 volts. A couple of sites I can think of is tomshardware.com and tweakit.com It doesn't hurt to try though!

people have cracked the multiplier lock!!!! Remember those germans that made such a big deal a while back? They did not up the bus, but the multiplier. It looks a little hard to do, but what isn't nowadays?
