Is there a free software VCR

I have a Hauppage TV tuner card (USB) and want to find a software that acts as a VCR. I looked at WinVCR but they want $40. I can almost get a regular VCR for that! I want something free if it is available. Is there one? I checked download.com but the only one I saw that would record was WinVCR.
