Winbond What is RT1 and Should My CPU Fan Stay On

I just installed Winbond Hardware Doctor Ver 2.10 that came with the BX6 MB. What is RT1? It is running at 41C. Also my cpu fan comes on when I boot but goes off after should it be doing this P2 400.

I'm not familiar with this board but on other comparable boards, there is a thermal fan connection. It will only go on if a certain preset temperture is reached. So you may have your CPU fan attatched to this connection.

It will do exactly what you stated on power up.

If this is the case, use a different connection. If not, the wires form the fan may be crossed at the connector; or a bad fan or MB fan connector.

Also, (once again with other MB's) the is a reading for the core temp And a internal case temperature. Maybe RT1 is that?
The reading is close enough.

Hey thanks for the reply I found the problem. Under power management the cpu fan was set to suspend off. I put it to always on. Put here is the part I do not understand as stated before I just insalled windbond hardware doctor. Every time I opened it up it would beep and shut the fan down. I do not know if when I installed it if it changed my cmos settings. I toyed with the configureation settings in winbond but could not get it to stop turning off the cpu fan. I have uninstalled the software and everything is cool 37c. If their is any other software that will monitor voltage and temp please post.

sounds like you got a ****ed up set-up fans should never turn off, unless they have something obstrucing the blades.
