I just bought a BH6 and C300a, when I go to setup it won't let me change the cpu and I don't have control of clock multiplying or voltage settings. How can I make this happen or do I need to get another c300?
Thanks
abit bh6 settings are in the bios
if for any reason these are not working
flash your bios
abit's are ****hot boards and work well when o/c 300a's
all the best

Just make sure to set the chip in the bios to "user settings" or something like that and the options below should be able to be changed. Of course, not the multiplier, but the voltage and bus speed should be available.

Thanks, When I flashed the bios it worked fine. I can get to windows at 450 but crashes after a few minutes. Any suggestions? I'm using mushkin 64mb and abit bh6.
Thanks
hi db
goood to see you flashed your bios and got some sort of result
some of the 300a's dont like to be clocked
as you set your fsb to 100mhz and had no joy try 83mhz this will give you 373.5 which is still more than your getting.
when you boot does it go into windows ok and what exactly happens when it belly's up?
failing all else you could try 112mhz x 4.5.
i dont see that it will but you'll have to try all possibilitys, also you might find that by trying other bus speeds as win 98 boots and lock's it might mess up your sys reg and in that case a reinstall could be forthcomming
best of luck

mail me you you have anything else you need to about clocking and other things of that nature. also what speed is your mem rated some pc66 stuff will just plain refuse to run at 100mhz i use seimens pc66 2x64 1x32 and have no probs with them running at higher rated speeds
