I have a 3Com USR Sportster 28.8 Modem installed in one of my systems. I'm just trying to find out why the modem is really fast.
I know that my phone lines are in excellent, top-notch shape.
The modem runs at the speed of an average 56K connection, and loads the pages impressively fast. I've owned this modem for a few years, and haven't really thought about it until now.
Anyone know any other factors that could affect speed?
