System

AMD K6-2 3D 300
FIC VA-503+ M/B rev 1.1a
Mitsubishi 64MB PC-100 SDRAM (CAS 3)
IBM Deskstar 8 6.4GB HDD
Diamond Viper 330

Overclocked system to 336 Mhz (112 x 3) with voltage at 2.2v. Able to
boot up and enter win98. However when using MPEG players like XING MPEG,
system reboots. Increased voltage to 2.3v does not help.

Tried overclocking to 350 Mhz (100 x 3.5) with voltage at 2.2v. Able to
boot up but unable to enter win98. Increased voltage by 0.1v does not
help.

Question:- Is there any in which I can get my system to overclock
successfully ?

Try using a better cooler. Also, try the open case approached with a 16inch fan blowing into it. Good Luck!

Did I hear someone say AMD?

The K6-2 300 is not the best overclocker of the line. But you could try raising your core voltage to 2.4, that is still within spec. I have run mine at 2.5 using heat transfer compound, large heatsink, and two fans.

350 and a couple combos that yield 366 are very possible. The important thing is that you follow the SDRAM settings recommended when using that 112mhz bus - the 112 is not stable for me cheap Samsung hard drive chokes at anything but PIO mode 3 on that bus speed.
