[This message has been edited by chipbgt (edited 01-10-2000).] codybear 01-10-2000, 05:55 PM maybe a 56k with a freebie isp just for faxing is the answer..I too will look so let me know and I will do the same chipbgt 01-10-2000, 05:57 PM Yeah.....but I just dont wanna have to put that modem back in there...I dont have any pci slots open but that is a possibility if ya got the resources. BBA 01-10-2000, 06:38 PM Why do you need an ISP to fax with a modem? A regular fax machine does not need an ISP...neither do you! Problem with a cable modem is you have to use a internet to phone dial system to dial a recipient fax machine number. Anyone find one, let me know! codybear 01-10-2000, 07:00 PM duh!! too bad there isnt a symbol for dumb here chipbgt 01-10-2000, 07:19 PM http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif careful codybear, careful.... codybear 01-10-2000, 07:23 PM I mean for me!! jbob 01-10-2000, 07:24 PM Has anyone out there ever heard of www.efax.com ? (http://www.efax.com) You can get a fax number and receive unlimited faxes for free. They come as email attatchments. You can get a toll free number for $3 a month, or the ability to send faxes for $3 a month, or both for $5 a month(atleast when I signed up for it it was). Darn handy. I use a dedicated phone line to fax and to Surf. On my stationary I list the efax number as an alternate fax number should the first number be busy. Very handy and I don't miss any faxes.
