we use "net use" command to print through DOS BASED PROGRAMS over a network printer.
this command succesfully works when it is used

(1).between clients
i.e when one client is using the printer installed at another client.

(2).from server to client
i.e. when server is using the printer installed at some client.

but what should be done , when some client wants to use the printer installed at the server.
if we use the same command some client ,where we wish to use the printer of server from the client.
it gives error message and says that this command can used on the server only.
how to overcome the same.
please help.

Is the printer on the server "shared?"

KATYAL_RINKU wrote via email that the printer is shared.

What OS is the server using? Have prermissions been granted for the clients to use the printer?

You're main problem here is that you're in a hurry. That's fine but don't expect help to come as fast as you apparently think it should because this is free help and we work to do eachother favors. The other part of your problem is that, in you haste to find a solution to your problem, you failed to read the site policies and rules and in particular, this excerpt from the FAQ page:
"...and submit your topic in the one most appropriate forum. Do not multiple post the same topic as you will be unable to delete your multiple posts." For your convienience, here is the link: http://www.sysopt.com/forum/faq/faq3.html#Post1
The reasoning behind this is that it becomes confusing to those trying to help you with your problem and the continuity of the thread is broken. It's not even cool to e-mail someone unless they invited you to because, again, it breaks the train of thought and the troubleshooting process as it develops. The remaining part of your probelm is that you haven't taken the time to answer the questions possed to you by someone trying their best to help. Unless you answer these questions, how can we possibly help you resolve your problem?
