I recently had to update my IE5 with the 128 bit encryption package (a web site I wanted to order from required it). Now IE is very slow at times, and is unstable.

Has anyone else had this problem and did you find a fix??

Try upgrading to IE6.0. It comes with 128bit and is quite nice.

Or go with IE5.5 with service pack/service release 2. It's very stable and runs quite well.
