Hello,

Small suggestion:

If you can put somewhere in the top corner of the site your real local time (date) and London / Sydney time for orientation, I think it might be helpful for all users.

This site is a truly international site and I am sometime lost about real time in your zone. I think I am not the only one.

Please accept my humble apologise for interfering in the company politics.

Medo you'l sone get used to living down under in the future, after all we see it 2 hrs before Sydney, 2.5 hrs before Adalade
either 10 or 12 hrs before London and about 18 hrs before Mntsnow, if time is critical just put local time when you post and check what time it shows up on the BB, I think it would be quite a hastle for Scott to implement 6 or 7 clocks on the board, we just have to work with the fact we ain't across the pond in the past hours. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Thank's WW

I'll will respect your opinion.
It was a little bit stupid from me, probably a part of immigration crisis and unhappiness with the move.

Still at work! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif and it's 9:09am 1-9-00 Mountain time zone. Or that should be MNT Snow time http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

*edited as I forgot to put my time zone http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif *

Hmmm... we can always see what Scott has to say about your suggestion, Medo! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

The time of my posts are the same as this server - Pacific Standard Time. (SysOpt server time)

btw, no apologies for making suggestions, K?
http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I am sorry that you are unhappy with your move...? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Mntsnow - do you work around the clock, or just 24/7? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Ummm...socalgal...doesn't that question to mntsnow depend on what clock your talking about?

ROFLMAO...... It sure seems like 24/7 lately! We (the company) just started the commission run for all the distributors worldwide and someone from Operations has to monitor the systems. I just ended up with Back to back shifts http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif But I should have some good "internet time today!" LOL http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Mntsnow

ps. I also brought my new Abit BP6 Dual cpu setup with me to work so I can reconfigure it again! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif This thing just rocks with Win2K and RC5!

The only way that would be truly helpful is if each post contained Los Angeles, New York, London, and Sydney time. You already know what time it is where you are, so putting a clock on the site telling you the current time wouldn't be too helpful. I really wish there was a feature that would allow you to configure the board for your time zones so that the times would make more sense but there isn't such a feature. The best thing to do is just to figure out what the difference is between Pacific and Sydney time and keep it in mind.

Any other ideas for implementation?

Putting a clock with the current time could be helpfull to these people because then they could figure out the time difference.
But they could just as easy bookmark a site that has the current US west coast time and check it when in doubt, or post something and check that way. The only thing that could cause a change is the start and ending of daylight savings time.

I'm lucky I live in SoCal (pun intended)
It must be confusing for some people like WW when they look at the front page at the "last post" time, the day part could be off too. I used to get confused before you changed to west coast time, but I am very easily confused to begin with.

I'll post at exactly 11:55:00 1-9-2000
