ooooh.....good question. it never works when I try either.

I just remembered, some software decoders (powerdvd for example) will take a screen shot. I use an ati card to decode it and I cant find anyway to do it.

You should still be able to use the "PrtScrn" function...I will try it when I get home as I have PowerDVD and it has a "screenshot" function built in http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Mntsnow, I think PowerDVD is the only software DVD player I have seen that you can do print screens with.

I still like WinDVD better though.

BBA, Yep I think PowerDVD is the only one with the screen capture built in....I havent used WinDVD as I got PowerDVD with my DVD drive and it works great so I saw no need to pay 50 bucks for another software that does the same thing! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif......unless of course I can come up with it for cheap! lol

ps. when I tried "prtscn" it didnt work either http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif so I will just keep using the screen capture that is built in to PowerDVD!

PowerDVD, WinDVD and a bunch of others are just the software interface...you can download trial versions of most from download.com and see which you like best before forking over the money! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

If you are thinking of buying some sort of upgrade, look to see what's bundled with it.
I got WinDVD free with my SB Value card. Works great. Just need a bigger screen! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Look for HyperSnapDX. It should allow you to capture the DVD shots in the shareware version.

Before I got my Hollywood+ decoder card, Ii used to have to use PowerDVD to capture shots. Now, this is my opinion, but I hate PowerDVD. For scenes needing lots of decoding it would stutter, and always hog 100% of the CPU.

Software Cinemaster 99 takes advantage of the TNT2's hardware acelleration, and just uses 60% of the CPU (Athlon 550).

WinDVD is the same as Cinemaster - as in it takes advantage of the TNT2s hardware acelleration.
