Thanks-gene Pantion 01-04-2000, 08:35 AM I think that option was made for a problem found in IBM's propietary OS called OS/2 (one of my favorites). Win9x, Linux, etc. for what I know don't need to be enable, but I could be wrong so wait for more replies for an accurate answer. grandslammer 01-04-2000, 09:08 AM I run VIA bios. In my bios, it says over 64mb OS2/nonOS2. The way OS2 handles memory above 64 megs differs than the way windoze does. You want to select non os2. So if it sayd something about os/os2, I would leave it un-enabled... Mike gene1938 01-04-2000, 02:46 PM I was just wondering if I should "enable" cause I have more than 64M of memory--thanks gene Axel 01-04-2000, 02:46 PM A close friend once shared with me this bit of philosophy - "you can educate the ignorant, but there's nothing you can do for stupid people." - The question was a good one - only stupid people don't ask questions. Keep-um coming.
