The Aureal2 is supposed to be one of the best 3D sounds cards out there...
Well I like to work with Midi also, and it is important to me that the midi sounds good, has a fast responce, and is easy to work with...
So anyone who has the card, can you tell me: Midi, good or bad?

The Turtle Beach Montego II, which uses the Vortex2 sound chip, can replace the stock midi sounds (which overall are not bad, but there are some stinkers) with the "standard" midi sound set that Macroshaft has now decreed. The great thing, though, is that the "standard" set is comprised of samples taken from Roland's GM products. So, of course, they sound great.

I would assume that other Vortex2 cards can do the same, but ya never know with assumptions... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
