Sorry if this was mentioned before - it's a couple of weeks old, but I didn't spot it in another thread. I think is has rather important implications:

Regarding the court case - it does violate the constitution and is totally unenforcible outside of confinement without a PC/telco connection.

Regarding the radio piracy - I've got mixed feelings. I wouldn't buy a radio that can be manipulated like that - probably wouldn't spend that much money on one with such a feature. If I want the traffic report, I switch to talk radio - otherwise I play my own music because I ABSOLUTELY hate commercials. My radio comes with a mute button on the steering wheel for when I do actually get interested in the news or something else.

Otherwise - when they find those guys, and they will eventually, bleed them for information, and then throw away the key. I also hate intrusive hackers. If they have the gear to capture such a radio signal, they can get into any house with a garage door opener and likely have.....
