Anyone know the typical voltage out put on motherboards hdd & power on leds on the case?
I am using an Iwill KK266 motherboard. In essence I have a black case and want to replace the default red & green leds with blue ones...will I need a resistor along with the blue led?
Thanks

Usually 5VDC. Check your motherboard manual, but that is pretty standard.

Blue LED's are usually higher voltage than a standard red, yellow or green so you shouldn't need a resistor.

As Bsdboy says, blue LED's require a higher voltage than all other colours other than white and UV, in fact it is about twice the voltage (c. 3.6V), for that reason the blue LED may appear a little dim.
No you wont need an extra resistor.
