Should i get a mpeg-2 card?

im gonna upgrade my comp soon to athlon 500, 128mb ram and geforce pro. is it worth me buyin a mpeg-2 cardd to play dvds or will geforce give me exact same performance? which mpeg-2 do you guys recommend as i know nothing about mpeg cards.

ps. when are the new voodoo cards comin out?
