Greetings,

My system has a new Asus a7v133 mobo w/ a 1.2 ghz Athlon chip & new 400w power supply. I an reusing my hd, floppy, video card & ram from before.

The problem is that when I power up the lights come on, the cpu fan spins but I get no beeps, no video output. The hd & floppy do not seem to do anything as I have unplugged their ribbon cables and it makes no difference. I am unanble to get to the bios so I am stuck.

Any ideas????

Have you checked your CMOS jumper on the Motherboard?

Remove and reseat your ram would be my first try, Put in one stick in 1st. slot, That is unless you only have one stick.
Then try to boot.

You've probably checked this, but make sure your video card is seated properly.
