Hi to all,

I have a quick question regarding tghe Sircam virus. The one with Hi How Are You Again.

I would like to know:

1) Does this virus infect my computer when I you open that E-mail ?

2) Or, does it infect when I open the attachment ?

BTW, if I have applied a security patch for my MS outlook 98 to block out any malicous attachement, will I still be infacted??

Please advise.

There seem to be a few strains of this virus. Your best bet is to make sure your antivirus software is up to date.

It is spread when you try to open the attachment. Another strain seems to propagate via Microsoft Networking shares.

Just make sure you have the latest virus definitions/pattern file for your antivirus software and you'll be alright.
