I purchased an HX08 case 2 years ago with
an AX65 mobo. Like other folks in some
case discussion threads I've seen in here,
I *love* this case and I don't see any need
to get a new one, however...

It's time to upgrade and
I've got my eye on an AX6BC Pro. From the
looks of the edge connectors on the AX6BC,
the sheet metal in the back of my older
HX08 won't fit a newer mobo. It looks like
the keyboard/mouse ports are side-by-side
now and there's those pesky USB ports there
now, too.

What's a feller to do? Has anyone faced
this problem? Can you order a new sheet
metal panel for the back of the case? I'd
hate to give it up, and I'd hate even more
to drop a $100 on a new case when the one
I have is in perfect condition.

Just a thought..but try some OEM builders
in your area for the extra plates that they probably throw away...I have a box full..and you could probably cut the case and attach
the new plate to your case and away you go..at least both boards are ATX

In my travels, I found that you actually
can order the back plate from AOpen.
If you go to www.zoomopen.com, (http://www.zoomopen.com,) under
accessories, you can get updated back plates
for the various AOpen cases.

I posted this same question on Usenet and
one respondee said that he got the back
plate with his AX6BC mobo when he ordered
it.
