I am getting tired of buying cases, so I
put an ATX power supply in an AT power supply
case. The problem is that there is no cable
(heavy 4 wire)that runs from the ATX p/s to the on off switch on the front of the case like with the AT power supply. I realize that the ATX mobo that I haven't received yet controls the on off differently, but I thought it could be adapted. I will be using an FIC AZ11 with a 750 duron with no second fan.Could someone knowledgeable please help.

Right... AT power supplies are controlled by a heavy cable that runs to a postitive on/off switch in the front of the case. ATX powersupplies are controlled by the mobo. Somewhere on your case, you're going to have to install a "normally open" momentary switch (like the "reset button}, and wire that switch to the PWR SWITCH connector on you mobo. The switch briefly completes the PWR ON circuit on the mobo; causing THE MOBO to start the powersupply. The powersupply remains turned on until either the software instructs the mobo to turn the powersupply off, or you again depress the momentary power switch.

BTW, are you sure your ATX mobo is going to mount up to the AT case? You'll also need an ATX back plate for your case, because the mouse, keyboard, parrallel, serial, and USB connectors are all going to be mounted on the mobo, and fit into the backplate through one large hole.
