I am tweaking my modem settings. I have a hardware modem and my question is in the enable software compression, should I check or uncheck it? I am using windows 2000.

I have mine unchecked if that helps at all. If your using a Standard ISP I think unchecked works fine....

Most modems support hardware compression, you don't need the software one.
