I posted the question about Man of the Century etc. at nine different tech support boards and here are the results.
Man of the Century - Albert Einstein far and away. FDR was a distant second.
Woman of the Century - Mother Teresa was the overwhelming number one choice. Eleanor Roosevelt and Marie Curie tied for second.
Athlete of the Century - This was the closest vote with several nominees, but Michael Jordan just barely squeaked by Jim Thorpe and Jesse Owens, who were tied for second.
Event of the Century - For single event, the moon landing was the big winner, but the majority of votes went for World War II related events - WWII, Pearl Harbor, D-Day, Dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, invention of the atomic bomb, the Holocaust.
I really enjoyed reading all the choices and the debates that arose. I hope you found it interesting as well.
Thanks everyone.
