Okay, I just received that Duron 850 and FIC AZ-11 board. I installed the stuff, which came with the processor already installed. It's wierd... It posts fine, but when it try's to boot, it either hangs, or it says that some file is corrupted, but never the same one. So I remembered the article saying that some units with 850 processors would halt when booting Win-ME, so I tryed to boot Win2k from the CD. That would just halt too, with various files as the culprit. I'm going to try the QNX demo, and linux too, but this unit will need to run windows (preferably 2k). Any body got any ideas?

Probable memory. Try another mim stick if you have one.

I had that same board, with a 900 Duron. My boot would hang(Win2k) when I disabled power management in the bios, specifically ACPI.
The windows install was done with ACPI on and wouldn't boot with it off.

Thanks D- I got it to boot with QNX, but that's a good tip on the ACPI. I also noticed that you live in Salem, me too. Nice place, don't you think?

jbyron, thanks... one of the three sticks seems to be incompatible with the new board. So I took it out and the unit seems fine now. I guess I'll put that dimm back in the 650 athlon. Thanks for the help guys!
