I have the Sigma Designs Hollywood Plus Decoder card installed on my system, at the same time of purchasing the card I also purchased the Yamaha TSS-1 Dolby Digital Decoder system, I have connected the AC-3 Digital Output or the H+ card to the Decoder, but when watching a film the sound randomly cuts out for about one second, this can happen from every 5 minutes to every 45 minutes Which is really annoying when trying to watch a 2 hour movie! I have tried al the normal trouble shooting steps I can think of, i.e. making sure DMA in enabled on the DVD drive, Making sure all background programs are closed bar systray and explorer, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Someone said it might be the DVD drive because its only a 2x DVD, Any ideas would be much appreciated.

My system:
Asus CUV4X MoBo
PIII 800MHz 133bus
256MB Ram
SB Live sound card
WinTV Card
30GB HDD Pri Mater, 10GB HDD Pri Slave
Creative PC-DVD x2 Sec Master, HP 8200 CDRW Sec Slave.

Check you have "optimal settings" enabled in BIOS for mobo. See if there any conflicts between peripherals in Device Manager. Use latest drivers for you SB Live! and Hollywood Decoder. If you have two sticks of memory, try using only one of them, the other may be defective. Try removing your slave HD and the CD-RW completely and see if it solves the problem. To optimize memory usage, try Cacheman from www.outertech.com (http://www.outertech.com)
