Kind of an odd question, but I do live near Chattanooga. I love the mountains, the fresh air, and the laid back atmosphere. So you can add at least one to the list! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

The reason I ask is that I have seen a few people post they live in or near Tennesse.
It is just kind of a survey of sorts.
I go to Chattanooga a couple times a year. It is nice there. Only been to Knoxville once and that was for the 1981 Wolds fair.

I’ve never been to Tennessee but I am a volunteer at the library, does that make me distant kinfolk?

Happy New Year!

How about south Tenn, Jackson ,Miss.
Took our honeymoon in Gatlinsburg before it exploded (1971) We went up for a Thanksgiving outing around 1985 and couln't believe how things had changed. Commercialism sucks.

Pickel, I go cruising in Gatlinburg a couple of times a year, and you can walk from one side if town to the other faster than you can drive through it. It's became a tourist meca, and the crowds are only getting worse. It takes me longer to drive through it than it does for me to drive there!

I have been told that Gatlinburg is nice. I would like to go oneday. We aslo go to Stones Door a couple time of the year.About an hour north of Chattanooga. It has some nice bluffs, waterfalls, nature trails, also has primitive camping(if you want to tote your gear two miles!). The bluffs overlook a valley. We love to go in the fall and spring.
