Thanks in advance medo 07-15-2001, 05:53 AM Hello, This is just a suggestion. If you can solder two sets of motherboards’ connections wires the parallel way it might run. Once again, this is only a suggestion I never tried something like that. Medo http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Fingers 07-15-2001, 06:22 AM I can think of one way that would work, but maybe others have already figured the best way. For ATX, you could use a relay that's "pulled in" by either the 5 or 12 volt output on you're first powersupply. That relay will start the 2nd PS by completing (and holding) the circuit between the "power on" (green) wire and any of the ground (black) wires on the 2nd ATX connector. When the motherboard starts the 1st powersupply, it will pull in the relay and will complete necessary circuit to start the 2nd powersupply. I'd just tell you to do basically what Medo said, and patch the two green wires on both ATX connectors together, but I don't know if the motherboard's switching circuit could handle completing the circuit for two powersupplies? I'm sure this has been done before, and there may be a better way, although I'm pretty sure I could do this in about 30 minutes if I already had the 5 or 12 volt relay. griobhta 07-15-2001, 09:24 AM Should really learn to read the posts better ;-) Griobhta [This message has been edited by griobhta (edited 07-15-2001).] LiLRiceBoi 07-15-2001, 03:01 PM so, is that the best way to do it?? or are their any other ways? Imperion1 07-15-2001, 07:39 PM LiLRiceBoi YGM. I connected the Green (Pin14) and Black (Pin15) wires together using a jumper wire with a push button switch (power button) together. LiLRiceBoi 07-15-2001, 07:51 PM Thanks for the help. I will be trying this when i get the extra time Rhino302 07-16-2001, 12:46 AM Wouldn't it be eaiser if he used an AT power supply? He could just turn it on with a switch. Hell he could leave it on all the time to circulate air through his case. Bovon 07-16-2001, 11:49 AM This may help?... http://webpages.cablevision-online.net/k4yaw/atx.html Imperion1 07-16-2001, 04:36 PM Bovon, I sent him something similar. Sometimes I wonder how many ways the same thing can be told. lol I have my full tower running with 2 PS. The second PS is for my fans, or any other drives I may add later. I don't have it connected to the first PS though. Pins 14 and 15 connected with a wire and power button. Pins 4 and 5 connected with 2 - 25w 2OHM flameproof resistors. Pins 8 and 17 connected by a 5v LED. SysOpt.com
