I'VE RECENTLY BOUGHT A TRAXDATA 2260+ AND HAVE THE EASY CD DEX. AND CAN NOT GET THE PROGRAM TO RECORD CD'S. I KNOW THE DRIVE WORKS AND RECORD'S. BUT WHEN IT GOES THROUGH ITS TEST. IT TEST FINE, NO PROBLEMS, THEN WHEN IT GETS DONE RECORDING. IT HAS A LIST OF ERRORS AND THERE IS NOTHING ON THE THE CDR CD. BUT IT IS BURNT! CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE ON THIS......
WHat kind of error and at which speed are you trying to record at?
If it's a buffer underrun it's because your source drive throughput is not fast enough to keep up, and cutting the record speed back will help.
It could also be due to system errors such as file corruptions or file allocation table problems.

I HAVE A CREATIVE LABS 24x SPEED CD ROM, THE TRAXDATA IS THE 2260+, FROM WHAT I SEE ON THE TECH SUPPORT HOMEPAGE. (I'VE DOWNLOADED THE UPDATED PATCHES SO EASY CD WILL RECONIZE THE TRAXDATA.
FIRST, WHEN I INSTALLED EASY CD IT SAID THAT I HAD TWO ERRORS 1.)PHOTORELAY 2.)LIQUID PLAYER BUT LET ME CON'T.
I TRIED TO BURN A COUPLE OF CD'S THE SAME CD'S A FRIEND THAT LIVES IN OHIO WHO I GOT THE DRIVE FROM BURNT AND COULDN'T GET IT TO WORK.
I'M BURNING AT 1X SPEED, TEST AND COPY. THE TEST GOES FINE THEN IT COPIES BUT IT DOESN'T BURN IN CORRECTLY ON THE CD I'M GUESSING, THE CD IS BURNT BUT NOTHING THERE.
I'M REALLY NEW AT THIS BURNING THING AND I LIVE IN ATLANTA AND THE GUY LIVES OHIO, SO I HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING WITH MY SOURCE.
BUT I'VE TRIED TO BURN AT 2x SPEED, DISK AT ONCE.
I'M AT WORK NOW, BUT WHEN I GET HOME I'LL POST THE EXACT ERRORS THERE IS ABOUT 4 OF THEM.
A FRIEND IN HAIWAII SENT ME THE ORGINAL COPY OF EASY CD AND THE UPGRADE. I INSTALLED IT WITH NO PROBLEMS BUT STILL CAN NOT GET THE DRIVE TO COPY!

I haven't seen the option under general or advance for closed session! Where exactly should it be.
Also, should i use Easy CD creator deluxe or something else, under easy cd!

RMEMP, typing in CAPS is considered shouting, please lose the Caps Lock key. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
leaving a session allows you to burn a certain amount, then stop it, and then later, burn more. CLosing a session allows for a 1 time burn. You cannot read on open session cd, but you can also add on to it. hope that clears things up.
did you check the box marked, close session, when you burn? nothing will read if you do not.

First of all, get a new keyboard. That is the first thing to do.
Second, start up Easy CD Creator - from what you say it seems to be V4 and select the files you wish to copy to a CD. Click Create CD. Go to advanced options, and choose a slow speed and also click the radio button beside 'Close CD'. I don't know what it does, but I know none of my CDs work if 'Leave CD Open' is clicked.
Also, go to the device manager, expand CD ROM, double click on the writer, go to Settings, and make sure the 'DMA' checkbox is ticked. Do the same fo9r the normal CD ROM. This can double the bandwidth depending on the type of CD ROM.

Well thank you for political correct way of typing, an excuse me for typing in All Caps. To everyone that was helping me, i really appreciate it. The drive is working fine. It was the DMA for both the drives and the deluxe part of it doesn't work with this drive you have to use the other part of Easy CD
