Ok I want something that is going to last and is fast and able to play games good etc.

I am thinking of getting the k6-III-400mhz chip and 128 megs of ram but not sure what motherboard to get and what video card.

I am also not sure if I should scrap my old pc or get a bare bones system and use my old hd. My system I have now is pretty old (pentium 120mhz).

I would really like to know what people think about the k6-III-400mhz and tell me if its worth the difference in price of the k6-II's.. I would also like to know what type of board to get and if possible sites that sell this stuff cheap http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Check www.amd.com They have a list of their recommended motherboards. That's a good way to start researching. In addition, check our website for motherboards' reviews.

It is too early to have an opinion about the new AMD. I would say "opinions are really conflicting. In some cases, they say that AMD did not fulfill the expectations". Check Pc Computing and Pc Magazine. I would say wait until the reviewers had a better idea about what they are talking about.
