Quake 3 Benchmark syntax! Help!

as i remember the first part is-
~/timedemo 1, hit enter
~/showfps i cant remember, any help would be great thanks.

After the /timedemo 1 I just hit the ~ key to go back to the menu then click on demos and sit back - after the demo runs its course I hit ~ again to read the fps.
You are right though, there are other commands but I have forgotten them as well that display the fps all the time but the final demo result is usually what people & mags are comparing.

/showfps 1 ....... will show FPS during play
