Just noticed one problem: UBB doesn't work in Netscape 4.7 correctly anymore; the Lights & highlighting for new posts no longer work.

Can someone else verify?

No problems here on my end! Updated my DAT's in McAfee hours before midnight so no worry about any Y2K viruses here. Using Netscape 4.7 here, and not experiencing any difficulties here. So it's probably something on your end, Dominus (might be a few isolated cases here and there).

Happy Year 2000 to all!
Let's hope for a good year leading to the Millennium!

I just rolled over out here in Missouri. I shut down my two testbeds for the rollover, but left my server and Win98 main box on. I had no problems.

Although the same can't be said for the news dates. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.sysopt.com/news.html

Take Care and have a Happy New Year (or what's left of it for people like Welsh Wizard http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif)

Wow it comes it goes. It was so over hype it was like a 60 second mike tyson bout. Yeah it might take weeks before the bug works it way through whatever. But so far nothing major. My comp works fine even after using some test saying my comp was not y2k complienet guess they were wrong. They said i had to pay to fix it hmm yeah right. Y2k has been a money making machine and top headline in the news. The Media created this y2k **** hyped it up like no tommorrow and what happens nothing except minor things that probably are nothing.
What about those people that spend there whole life savings building a communtiy in the middle of nowhere? Are they thinking to themselves **** we sure did fall for this **** or will they say oh the y2k bug will happen next year since this is not the real millenium.Well the millenium has allready passed according to the egpytians there in there 7th milleinum. So for all you purtist saying oh its not the millienum its next year well maybe its not. Who knows because the only dude that knows for sure is dead. Plus people like even numbers not odd numbers 2000 sounds better than 2001.

So lets enjoy this New Years and put the Y2k thing out of are head. Im getting tried of hearing that **** about Y2k y2k its that and this. Y2k enough allready. Wonder what the media will hype up this year? Any suggestions?

Well im bored. Have a Happy New Year People whatever year your in!!!

I forgot to install the patch kit when I rebuilt my Netware 4.1 box so it started to have a fit, but a download of the patch kit and a run of dsrepair -a and time syncronization is back on track. It thought it was Feb 8th, 1988 until I got it going right again. No other problems.

My power went out right at 12:00. But only for a couple seconds. I think it was some joker at the power plant.

Well, I had a start this morning. I turned my computer on got a green light. no red lite no beep. So I sat there wondering... Was just about to shut it off and use my boot disc, wouldn't shut off. Getting nervous now, I hit
reset and it booted right up. Immediated did a live update and scanned for viruses. All clean. So now the moment of truth. Hit shut down, waited a minute and hit the power button. So far everything seems to OK. But it was an experience. Think my computer was getting back at me for ignoring it all
Happy New Year One and All

Rolled over gracefully here *whew* http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif It was a sight to see 'Saturday, January 01, 2000' in my BIOS's, and here on the Board also.

Pickel, that must have been a heart thumper. Hope all is well now?

Glad and relieved to see we all came through, and those that had little glitches, resolved. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
