While it's still five hours away from midnight here in TN, the rollover to midnight general meridan time went without a problem. Many companies and agencies use GMT instead of timezone based time inorder to have a uniform standard.

At any rate, I still have power, my ISP network is still up, and no planes are dropping on my house! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Good to hear WW. Let's hope that applies world wide. I've got about 7 1/2 hrs to go. My APC Smartups900 is on line so all will be okay http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Well, one hour to go here in TN. I guess the countdown is on for the US. Looks like everything is going to be fine.

When we passed 0:00 GMT, a sensor at a nuclear plant in the midwest US didn't roll over correctly, but that problem was quickly fixed while a y2k compliant backup took over. A similar prob happened in Japan, but nothing actually failed to operate at the facility. Other y2k prob's are sparse and noncritical soo far. Looks like it will be a good year after all! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, it y2k here on the east coast (US), and I haven't seen any issues, yet. My system rolled right over, and my dial-up connection never even flinched. Excellent!!

Happy New Year, RobRich and all!

Stan, I saw the UK fireworks via Ch.7 and they were spectacular! What a show! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I came home and the lights were still on... plugged in the comps, did a BIOS date check on both comps and woohoo! - Saturday, January 01, 2000. Hallelujah! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
