I had some previous problems with the computer to where the Power Supply went bad and got real hot, I put everything into a new case with new power supply and it posts up. After POST it looks for drives, here is where I get the no system disk errors. It searches for drives and finds none. Thinking it was a bad drive I replaced the drive and it found it as a slave drive. I then switched it to master and it didnt find it.
I went back to the first drive as slave and sure enough it found it.
If I can get any help on this , that would be great. Overall my system will find the drive as Slave but not Master.

There's an option in most drives that says CS (which stands for cable select). Put the jumper in this little slot and check if the computer recognizes the drive as a master.!

OMG you rawk, one more question for later use. Why does it work in CS when it used to work as master?

Well, im getting invalid system disk errors now, tried various floppy disk and even got the error with out a floppy hooked up. A simple build has gone ugly, what to do what to do.

I tried to see if I could boot from the cd and it went further than invalid system disk , but then cams up Boot Failure. This is getting better every minute. UGH

Yep, me again. I tried a differnt Hard drive this time and got the error No active partition, boot failure , invalid system disk message. I also tried on differnt controllers and got the same message. Im getting a very bad feeling about this.
No idea what to do now.
