Iv'e tried maximizing and minumizing no help. stylin19 12-30-1999, 09:10 AM usually the url's are too long. using UBB code would help. like this (http://www.download.com) [This message has been edited by stylin19 (edited 12-30-1999).] socalgal 12-30-1999, 02:21 PM The formatting of the page will be wider (causing horizontal scrolling) if there's a long sequence of unspaced characters - no spaces or breaks within an url, or any series of characters This will cause the page to "expand". For example, my display is set at 800x600 and while the 'email bomb' thread is wider than usual, it still fits my screen without me scrolling. Do you have your display set to less than 800x600 perhaps? alondra 12-30-1999, 03:34 PM socalgal apparently that was the problem I was at 640x480 now the forum fills more of my screen, and the long post fits, only difference I see is a flicker on the screen like a flourscent light and the printing seems smaller, . al socalgal 12-30-1999, 04:31 PM Since the "standard" for display is now 800x600, it seems most pages are formatted for that size, but if you want to keep at 800x600 you can always make the text size larger by adjusting in your browser's View menu. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I don't know about the flickering tho.. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif alondra 12-30-1999, 05:29 PM Great, thanks I didn't know about the font size, changed from med to large, now much easier to read, I learn here every day. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif jad1097 12-30-1999, 06:35 PM The flickering sounds like a low refresh rate. For some reason I get it running some programs in DOS. alondra 12-31-1999, 12:42 AM I may be dense but still dont get it. the sysopt screen all the top stuff is fine, only the post is about 1/3 wider to the right, than my screen. this only happens occasionaly.
