Just wondering if anyone has any good advice on where to start as far as Novell Certifications go...I had planned on just starting with my GroupWise 5 CNA, but in looking into it further it seems like a better idea to just start off going for the GroupWise 5 CNE or Netware 4 or 5 CNE. Any good suggestions, I find the documentation on Novell's site confusing - it would be nice to talk with someone who has been there and done it. Thanks for your help!

Actually the best way to go is do two of them, or should I say take two different roads. I would get some books or training classes on both NT 4.X or 2000 (workstation & server) and also Novell CNA (which one exactly kind of depends on you). The reason for both...many of your bigger businesses have both NT and Novell. When you know both and have some experience with them like at least from home (like having a couple of PC's there. One will act as a server and the other one a client. And then have both act as servers and try connecting them).

All this is real world experience. That's usually what they are looking for. I think Groupwise comes with the Netware 4.1 or 5.x book and licenses, but I'm not sure. So probably Netware 4.1 or 5 and one or two of the NT versions should get you started. A company that will hire you should pick up the rest of the cost of your certifications and pay you to learn too.
