I'm using a Canon BJC5000 with optional photo ink cartridge and glossy photo paper from Sam's Club (approx$19 for 100 sheets). Printing in photo mode at 1440 X 720 I get beautiful results printing photos from my digital camera. I refill my cartridges, even the photo cartridge, with ink from MIS Supply. Totally satisfied.

Absolutely without a doubt, the HP P1000 is the way to go. It is true photo quality (not 1440 x 720 or 2400 x 2400) and you won't have problem getting cartridges like some lower printers. It is a little higher in price at $399. If you want true color it is the only way to go. It prints at 35mm quality.

I'll second daveleau's comments. I've seen the HP P1000 and P1100 put through the paces and they are awesome. I'm planning on getting the P1000. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

anyone know of a printer that will print a decent photo? at a decent price???

my HP 672c just dont cut the mustard when it comes to photos.

I know I can buy a laser printer, but I cant see spending that kind of money for one, no more than I would use it.

thanks,
David

I'd recommend a Lexmark printer. I have had nothing but good results with several of them in the past. Check out your Office Max if you have one, if not, check out www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com)

Good Luck With It!

Ditto LED on the Alps. I use an Alps MD-5000 at work and it's great!
