We use Outlook 2000 for our small business e-mailing. From time to time when trying to start up Outlook, there's a pause as if Outlook is loading, only to have nothing load -- or so it seems. When a Ctrl-Alt-Delete is done, there's Outlook sitting in memory. A simple end task cures this, but this isn't something that is the norm for Outlook 2000, is it?

This happens on on the 10 or so computers we have here. Is this a known bug? Is there a work around or patch for this?

I looked on the Microsoft knowledge base, but didn't find anything. ANY help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

well heres a bump for you because ive had/have this problem in the past plenty of times and have to do the same(ctrl/alt/del, end task) to make it open so im curious to see if theres a fix.

MBR,

I have found that if this is happening on a system that has been up and running for awhile the cause is from someone closing out Outlook WHILE outlook is actually in the process of checking for mail. If you find Outlook not loading just do the 3 finger work and you will normally get outlook to finish loading after you "end task" on the Outlook listed in the list.
