I have some how killed my motherboard 3 times and would like to know what is causing it. What happens is I'm computing away and then the computer locks up and I have to manually press the reset button. It shuts off then acts like it will boot up but hangs up. There are 4 led ligths that light up that indicate that the processor might be damaged or not installed properly. I have sent the motherboard and case back to the place I ordered it from and they test the motherboard and find that it is dead then they replace it. Well I'm tired of paying to send the stuff off and would like to fix the problem.

My system has the following components:

Enlight ATX 7237 case w/300W PS
Microstar MS6330 K7T-Pro
AMD Thunderbird 750(not overclocked, yet)
256MB crucial ram
CDRom drive
Plexwriter 8/4/32 CD-RW drive
Creative 3D Annihilator 2 Geforce 2
Sound Blaster Live!
NIC Netgear FA310TX
15GB Maxtor ATA66 Primary(dual boot Win98/Linux)
30GB Maxtor ATA66
2 case fans

I was thinking about hooking the fans and my CDburner up to another power supply thinking it might somehow help because I'm desperate.
I have a power back up with autovoltage regulation so it isn't dirty power frying the board like I thought($90 spent for nothing, well almost nothing)

Please Help I cannot figure out why it keeps killing the motherboard. If anybody has any problems like this or has any ideas to fix it, Thank you.

hello,
i would turn it on and then start felling the IC's on you boards to see if any are getting too hot. and have you tried yanking things out and firing it up to see what is causing the problem?
