You might want to post at Anandtech that you want a version. There was a guy there that was selling all 4 versions (Beta 1 &2, RC1 & 2) He might still have it. He was asking $20.

The final release of the MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) version of Win2k was released... Dec 9 I think. Supposedly, this version will be almost identical to the boxed version set to be released sometime.. March-April.

Netsurfer, FYI Win2K final has gone GOLD and is currently being sent to OEM manufacturers and the "Retail" version is set to be released on FEB 17th! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Will it be worth it for me to upgrade when it comes out? What are the advantages vs. disadvantages. And no, I am not interested in dual processor capabilities. Just wondering if you guys would know.

I think it will be, but I hear it's going to be a lot more than $90 to upgrade. My friend is already using the MSDN version and I guess the TCP/IP stack was rigorously updated, so that with the same ISP, same modem, etc... he gets a lot less ping to one of his favorite online game servers.

Aside from that, the NT security and stablity combined with win9x flexibility and gaming prowess will surely be interesting.
